These gringos hail from different places but all come for one reason... to bless the people of our community.
We were blessed with a group of 12 from Harding University working at the school and in our community the first part of March. They painted logos and inspiring words in and around our school, fixed our sand volleyball court, taught English classes, served the school in San Jose Chico, and delivered goods to community members.
The Hacienda had following four groups who participated in helping our school:
A group of soon to be teachers from LCU who taught classes at HOHCA in the afternoons. They were great! Our kids loved their dynamic classes, practicing their English, and getting loved on by the ladies.
A group from University church of Christ in Canyon, TX lead fun lessons for our little kids chapel in the mornings.
Two people from the South Plains church of Christ in Lubbock, TX helped at the school all week teaching our little kids English classes and helping out in any way they could.
A large group (41!!!) from Madison Academy in Madison, AL taught all of our PE classes one week. They played with our students and were amazing examples for the kids.
We loved having each and everyone of you here. Thank you for taking a week to work and serve the people here in Ecuador instead of taking a vacation. You have impacted the hearts of so many here and we hope that you retired with Ecuador in your heart. Thanks for all the work, but most importantly the time you spent our our kids: talking with them, playing with them, sharing yourselves and sharing Jesus!
